Success!

From Kat:

In Paris! Excellent apartment! Not sure what else is going on! So tired!

The picture of the two of us is in O'Hare airport in the semi-disturbing, semi-cool concourse with mirrors and blinking lights all over the place. The airport also happens to be the site where we ran into not one, not two, but three family friends from Menlo Park.

The other picture is for Jay to add to his collection of mouth-breathing family members.

We'll write about France and what we're actually doing here once our brains stop melting. But for now, some things I've enjoyed/noticed/enjoyed noticing so far:

- French is so, so fun to listen to. I've done a pretty okay job so far of understanding what people are saying around me, and I figure that's a good start. Hopefully after today, with some sleep and baguettes in me, I'll be able to pick a lot of it up again.

- The theme song from Téléfrançais keeps getting stuck in my head. Wasn't expecting that, but now I'm not sure why I expected anything less.

- Having an apartment is GREAT. It makes it easy to automatically feel comfortable and at home.

Mom/Gail plans to write more later.....but it's nap time now.
